Regular Season Round 7: Ginebra Kings - SM Beermen 82-85

The most exciting game of round 7 in the PBA took place in Manila. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th rankedKings (2-2) to eighth ranked Beermen (3-2) 85-82 on Sunday evening. SM Beermen made 16-of-17 free shots (94.1 percent) during the game. SM Beermen outrebounded Ginebra Kings 53-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Justin Patton (216-1997, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-1993) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Beermen's coach Leovino Austria used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) answered with 31 points and guard Rhon Jhay Abarrientos (181-1999) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Ginebra Kings. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Terrafirma Dyip and Phoenix. Ginebra Kings at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with TNT Tropang.
