Regular Season Round 12: Hotshots - Rain or Shine 92-101

An interesting game for Painters (8-2) which played road game in Pasig City against 4th ranked Hotshots (6-4). Second ranked Painters managed to get a 9-point victory 101-92. Rain or Shine shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for Jhonard Clarito who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Gian Mamuyac contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Andy Barroca replied with 14 points and 5 assists and Zavier Lucero added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Hotshots. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Painters have a solid three-game winning streak. Rain or Shine keeps a position of league leader. Hotshots at the other side keep the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with FiberXers and NLEX RW. Rain or Shine's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manila Ginebra Kings.
