There was a surprise result when ninth rankedHotshots (6-6) rolled over higher ranked Bolts (7-5) in Manila 129-92 on Friday. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Bolts ' 52 and made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Hotshots outrebounded Meralco Bolts 48-24 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hotshots looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-South Korean forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-1989, college: Missouri) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winning side and American forward Zavier Lucero (198, college: Cal Maritime) accounted for 22 points. Five Hotshots players scored in double figures. Center Raymond Almazan (206-1989) came up with 23 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard CJ Cansino (188-1999) added 11 points respectively for Meralco Bolts in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hotshots have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with NLEX RW. Loser Bolts keep the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Rain or Shine and HK Eastern.
