No shocking result in a game when third rankedAzour (12-3) beat at home 8th ranked Bkennaya (4-10) 72-62 on Tuesday. Azour forced 19 Bkennaya turnovers and outrebounded them 42-25 including a 15-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. Azour looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for international center Zena Elias (190-2000, college: USA) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Patil Assadourian (174-2004) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Azour players scored in double figures. Center Sandra Beddawi (168-1992, agency: BIG) answered with 21 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and Pia Khattar added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bkennaya. Azour have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-3 record having just two points less than leader Al Riyadi. Bkennaya lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost.
