There was no surprise when 8th rankedBkennaya (4-9) was crushed at home by second ranked Al Riyadi (13-1) 100-68 on Sunday. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Bkennaya 's 26 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Al Riyadi forced 27 Bkennaya turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Bkennaya 's players. The former international Rebecca Akl (170-1992) scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Narine Gyokchyan (187-1993) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest.
