Regular Season Round 3: Beirut FC - Azour 78-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Azour (2-1) on the court of Beirut FC on Monday night. Visitors were edged by Beirut FC 78-77. It was a great evening for Dean Kahlajah who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. American Chyna Cornwell (190-2001, college: Rutgers) helped adding 13 points and 14 rebounds. Four Beirut FC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Lele Grissett (188, college: S.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Tina Raffoul (180-1998) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Azour's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beirut FC is looking forward to face Antranik (#4) in Beirut in the next round. Azour will play at home against Homentmen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
