Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Beirut:Al Riyadi (#1) and Sagesse (#2). Al Riyadi (11-0) won against visiting Sagesse (9-2) 122-114 . Al Riyadi players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Sagesse 's players. Sagesse was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Amir Saoud (187-1991) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 assists for the winners. American power forward Paris Bass (207-1995, college: Detroit) answered with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow the other American import import forward Trazarien White (198, college: TCU) added 29 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Sagesse. Five Al Riyadi and four Sagesse players scored in double figures. Sagesse's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Al Riyadi . Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Sagesse at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost.
