Regular Season Round 8: Batroun - NSA 90-83

There was a minor upset when 9th rankedNSA (2-6) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Batroun (2-6) 90-83 on Monday. Batroun dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to NSA 's 28. Batroun forced 20 NSA turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Desi Washington (188-1992, college: St.Peter's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 12 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Karl Kozah who added 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Batroun players scored in double figures. American guard Makye Richards (188, college: Xavier, LA) responded with 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-1995, college: Colorado St., agency: Alti Sport) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Batroun moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Antranik and NSA. NSA lost sixth consecutive game.
