Regular Season Round 3: Beirut Club - Al Markaziyyah 79-81

Important game to mention about took place in Beirut. Al Markaziyyah (3-1) saved a 2-point derby victory on the road edging Beirut Club (1-3) 81-79 on Saturday evening. Al Markaziyyah players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American-Dominican forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Elios Saad (202-2001, agency: BIG) helped adding 17 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Elijah Thomas (206-1996, college: Clemson) with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard AJ English (192-1992, college: Iona) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al Markaziyyah and five Beirut Club players scored in double figures. Al Markaziyyah will play against NSA (#6) in the next round. Beirut Club will have a break next round.
