Regular Season Round 22: Sagesse - NSA 97-106

The most important game in the last round took place in Beirut between third ranked Sagesse (16-3) and twelfth ranked NSA (2-17) on Sunday night. Sagesse was defeated by NSA in a tough game at home 97-106. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Sagesse. NSA made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Daniel Hamilton (201-1995, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Lucas Saleh (201-2000, college: Belm.Abbey) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four NSA players scored in double figures. Guard Zach Lofton (193-1992, college: NM State, agency: Slash Sports) replied with 46 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Sagesse. Sagesse's coach Linos Gavriel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NSA maintains twelfth position with 2-17 record. Sagesse at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. NSA are looking forward to face higher ranked Al Markaziyyah (#10) in Jounieh in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sagesse's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Antranik.

A champion is someone who has achieved the highest level of success in a competition or event. They have demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and perseverance to emerge victorious. The title of champion is a testament to their hard work and dedication to their craft. On the other hand, a finalist is someone who has reached the last stage of a competition but has not been able to secure the top position. Despite not winning the ultimate prize, being a finalist still signifies a significant accomplishment and showcases their talent and ability in the field. Both champions and finalists deserve recognition for their efforts and achievements in their respective endeavors.
