There was no surprise when 5th rankedSporting B. (9-6) was defeated at home by second ranked Homentmen (14-2) 90-85 on Tuesday. Homentmen forced 22 Sporting B. turnovers. Strangely Sporting B. outrebounded Homentmen 48-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jillian Archer (188-2000, college: St.John's) who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Her fellow American import guard Martha Burse (168-1996, college: Indianapolis) helped adding 28 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Madjiguene Sene (197-1994) with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 25 rebounds (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) and American guard Tynice Martin (180-1997, college: WVU) scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Homentmen have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-2 record having just one point less than leader Al Riyadi. Newly promoted Sporting B. dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Club Beirut.
