Bottom-rankedHoops (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-70 loss to eighth ranked Almtayleb (4-11) in on Tuesday evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Almtayleb made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for American swingman Jemimah Ashby (175-1991, college: Augustana) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. Mathilda Khalil helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. Almtayleb's coach Nelly Nassar allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Milena Marjanovic (193-1991, agency: Olsta) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Lyndsey Whilby (180-1999, college: KSU) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds.
