Regular Season Round 60: Gunma CT - Sendai 89ers 87-86

Sixth-ranked89ers (35-25) were very close to win a game against second ranked Thunders (42-18) in Gunma. Thunders managed to secure only one-point victory 87-86 . However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-1989) who added 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Jarrett Culver (198-1999, college: Texas Tech) with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and Lebanese guard Sergio El Darwich (194-1996, college: Maine) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. 89ers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gunma CT maintains second position with 42-18 record having just three points less than leader Nagasaki, which they share with Chiba Jets and Ryukyu. Sendai 89ers lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 25 games lost.
