There was an upset when higher rankedMagic (28-32) was smashed by twelfth ranked Fighting Eagles (18-42) in Shimane 90-68 on Sunday. FE Nagoya looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Diamond Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) supported him with 17 points and 7 assists. Four Fighting Eagles players scored in double figures. Fighting Eagles' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) did not help to save the game for Shimane SM . American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas, agency: Slash Sports) added 22 points and 4 assists. FE Nagoya maintains twelfth position with 18-42 record, which they share with Toyama G. Loser Magic keeps the eighth place with 32 games lost.
