There was no surprise in Akita where 13th rankedHappinets (10-49) were defeated by seventh ranked Ballooners (31-28) 85-72 on Saturday. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American power forward Tanner Groves (208-1999, college: Oklahoma) helped adding 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). New Zealand-German center Yannick Wetzell (206-1996, college: SDSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Kanji Takahira (185-1993) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saga B. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hiroshima D. Akita NH lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 49 games lost.
