No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Chiba (17-37) beat at home 13th ranked Happinets (10-44) 83-65 on Saturday. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Guard Takaaki Kida (188-1995) notched 24 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international Luke Evans (203-1991, college: CBU) supported him with 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 9 points and 9 rebounds by point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-1994) did not help to save the game for Akita NH. New Zealand-German center Yannick Wetzell (206-1996, college: SDSU) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Happinets' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
