Regular Season Round 51: Saga B. - Kyoto H. 90-89

Very expected game when 11th ranked Hannaryz (17-34) was edged by seventh ranked Ballooners (27-24) in Saga 90-89 on Saturday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Tanner Groves (208-1999, college: Oklahoma) who led the winners and scored 31 points. Puerto Rican-American swingman Davon Reed (198-1995, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Four Ballooners players scored in double figures. Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 19 points and 9 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for Kyoto H. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Saga B. maintains seventh place with 27-24 record. Loser Hannaryz dropped to the ninth position with 34 games lost. They share it with Koshigaya A.. Saga B. will meet at home Kyoto H. (#11) in the next round. Kyoto H. will have a break next round.
