No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Alvark (31-17) beat 13th ranked Happinets (8-40) in Tokyo 85-68 on Saturday. Alvark Tokyo dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Happinets's 24 and made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds and American-Ugandan center Brandon Davies (208-1991, college: BYU) supported him with 21 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-1994) did not help to save the game for Akita NH. South Sudanese-American center Angelo Chol (206-1993, college: SDSU) added 7 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Alvark Tokyo moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hokkaido L. Akita NH lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 40 games lost. Alvark Tokyo will meet at home Akita NH (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Akita NH will have a break next round.
