Regular Season Round 44: Chiba - Hiroshima D. 91-104

Very expected game when 10th ranked Chiba (15-29) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Dragonflies (26-18) 104-91 on Sunday. Hiroshima D. shot 22 for 30 from the free-throw line, while Chiba only scored six points from the stripe. Hiroshima D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The other American import forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Dererk Pardon (203-1996, college: Northwestern) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Kotetsu Kurokawa (175-2001) added 11 points and 11 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hiroshima D. maintains fifth position with 26-18 record. Newly promoted Chiba keeps the tenth place with 29 games lost. They share the position with FE Nagoya and Shiga L-Stars. Hiroshima D. will meet at home Osaka E. (#9) in the next round. Chiba's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Chiba Chiba Jets.
