Very important is a road loss of third rankedAlvark (30-14) against fifth ranked Thunders (28-16) on Sunday night. Visiting Alvark was crushed by Thunders in Gunma 78-54 . Gunma CT dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alvark 's 30. Gunma CT outrebounded Alvark Tokyo 42-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Gunma CT players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) who scored that evening 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and Filipino-British power forward AJ Edu (208-2000, college: Toledo) supported him with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Alvark Tokyo . American-Ugandan center Brandon Davies (208-1991, college: BYU) added 9 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunders have a solid four-game winning streak.
