Important game to mention about took place in Hiroshima. Eighth ranked B-Corsairs (16-26) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Dragonflies (25-17) 88-85 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Dragonflies. Yokohama BC dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies's 38. Yokohama BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. French power forward Damien Inglis (206-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Gary Clark (198-1994, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. B-Corsairs' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yokohama BC maintains eighth position with 16-26 record, which they share with Koshigaya A. and Osaka E. Hiroshima D. at the other side keeps the fifth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Sendai 89ers. Yokohama BC will play against higher ranked Sea Horses M. (#3) in Kariya in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hiroshima D. will play on the road against Chiba and hopes to get back on the winning track.
