Regular Season Round 41: Fukui B. - Ehime OV 100-94

The game between second ranked Orange Vikings (26-15) and fourth ranked Blowinds (24-17) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Orange Vikings were defeated by Blowinds in a tough game in Fukui 94-100. Fukui B. made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Ehime helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke, agency: Slash Sports) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Lithuanian forward Rapolas Ivanauskas (208-1998, college: Cincinnati, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American center Mitchell Watt (208-1989, college: Buffalo, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Michael Parker (200-1981, college: Evergreen St.) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Five Ehime players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blowinds have a solid series of three victories in a row. Fukui B. maintains fourth place with 24-17 record. Ehime at the other side keeps the second position with 15 games lost. Fukui B. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Ehime in Matsuyama in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ehime will have a break next round.
