There was no surprise in Yokkaichi where 15th rankedVeertien Mie (7-29) was outplayed by third ranked Broncos (29-9) 90-61 on Saturday. Saitama dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Veertien Mie 's 40. They outrebounded Veertien Mie 42-28 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Kennedy Meeks (208-1995, college: UNC, agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import Devin Oliver (203-1992, college: Dayton) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Broncos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Spanish center David Doblas (208-1981) who recorded 10 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) added 12 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Broncos . Saitama maintains third place with 29-9 record behind leader Tokushima Gam. Veertien Mie lost their eighth game in a row. They stay dead last with 29 lost games.
