Regular Season Round 35: Kyoto H. - Shimane SM 72-85

Not a big story in a game in Kyoto where 12th ranked Hannaryz (9-26) was defeated by seventh ranked Magic (19-16) 85-72 on Sunday. Shimane SM made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. American forward James McAdoo (206-1993, college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Magic players scored in double figures. Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 30 points and 4 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) scored 9 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shimane SM moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Saga B. Kyoto H. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 26 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Shimane SM will meet at home Shiga L-Stars (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kyoto H. will play against Chiba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
