Regular Season Round 13: Aishin AW - Denso I. 55-52

The most exciting game of round 13 in the WJBL took place in Anjo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher rankedDenso I. (17-9) to seventh ranked Aishin AW (8-18) 55-52 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Aishin AW made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. Aishin AW had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Sayaka Okamoto (161-1991) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Filipino power forward Jack-Danielle Animam (190-1998) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Maki Takada (185-1989) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Denso I.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aishin AW maintains seventh place with 8-18 record. Denso I. at the other side keeps the second position with nine games lost.
