There was a small surprise when eighth rankedEvessa (13-17) won against their close opponent Alphas (10-20) in Osaka 76-58 on Sunday. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Ryan Luther (206-1995, college: Arizona) notched 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Ukrainian center Volodymyr Gerun (208-1994, college: Portland) supported him with 7 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by Kazakhstan-American point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-1994, college: Iowa) did not help to save the game for Koshigaya A. .
