Regular Season Round 30: Alvark Tokyo - Hiroshima D. 95-72

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Dragonflies (17-13) were smashed by fourth ranked Alvark (19-11) in Tokyo 95-72 on Sunday. Alvark Tokyo shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) notched 32 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Ryan Rossiter (206-1989, college: Siena) supported him with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Alvark players scored in double figures. Even 18 points by American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) did not help to save the game for Hiroshima D.. Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) added 17 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Alvark Tokyo maintains fourth position with 19-11 record, which they share with Gunma CT. Loser Dragonflies dropped to the fifth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Sendai 89ers and Shimane SM. Alvark Tokyo will meet Osaka E. (#8) on the road in the next round. Hiroshima D. will play against FE Nagoya and hope to secure a win.
