Regular Season Round 24: Nagoya DD - FE Nagoya 78-80

The most exciting game of round 24 in the B1 League took place in Nagoya. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Dolphins (20-4) to tenth ranked Fighting Eagles (10-14) 80-78 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dolphins. It was a good game for American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Francis Lopez contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Aaron Henry (198-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: Diamond Sports) added 20 points in the effort for Nagoya DD. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. FE Nagoya moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Nagoya DD at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Chiba Jets. FE Nagoya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nagoya DD's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nagoya FE Nagoya.
