There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedBrave Thunders (5-20) beat higher ranked Magic (14-11) in Kanagawa 79-68 on Friday. The winners were led by Serbian center Dusan Ristic (213-1995, college: Arizona) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Ryusei Shinoyama supported him with 15 points and 6 assists. Four Brave Thunders players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists by Australian Nick Kay (206-1992, college: MSU Denver) did not help to save the game for Shimane SM . American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas, agency: Slash Sports) added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kawasaki maintains eleventh position with 5-20 record. Loser Magic keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
