No shocking result in a game in Gunma where fourth rankedThunders (16-7) smashed 7th ranked Alphas (9-14) 93-69 on Sunday. Gunma CT shot 60.8 percent from the field and made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Koshigaya A. only scored three points from the stripe. They outrebounded Koshigaya A. 28-14 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Filipino-British power forward AJ Edu (208-2000, college: Toledo) helped adding 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Thunders players scored in double figures. Center Alan Williams (203-1993, college: UCSB) responded with 22 points and Kazakhstan-American point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-1994, college: Iowa) scored 16 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Thunders . Gunma CT moved-up to third place, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Ryukyu. Loser Alphas keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams.
