Regular Season Round 23: Kawasaki BT - Alvark Tokyo 67-93

Everything went according to plan in Kanagawa where fifth ranked Alvark (13-10) outleveled 11th ranked Brave Thunders (4-19) 93-67 on Sunday. Alvark Tokyo shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Marcus Foster (191-1995, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. Serbian center Dusan Ristic (213-1995, college: Arizona) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Alvark. Alvark Tokyo maintains fifth place with 13-10 record, which they share with Shimane SM. Kawasaki lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. They share it with Akita NH. Alvark Tokyo will meet at home league's second-placed Hokkaido L. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kawasaki will play against Shimane SM (#5) and hope to secure a win.
