The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Lakestars' (9-13) road loss to ninth ranked NeoPhoenix (9-13) in Hamamatsu 83-93 on Wednesday. Nwaba is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. American forward Thomas Wimbush (201-1993, college: Fairmont St., agency: Slash Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Shiga L-Stars in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San-en NP moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Shiga L-Stars. Shiga L-Stars lost their fourth game in a row. San-en NP will meet league's leader Tochigi Brex on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play against the league's leader Nagasaki (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
