Everything went according to plan when second rankedSunshine R. (10-4) defeated 7th ranked Aishin AW (2-12) in Anjo 69-61 on Sunday. Sunshine R. outrebounded Aishin AW 47-27 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Nanami Tsuno who led the winners and scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Jessica Wariebimo accounted for 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Sunshine R.'s coach Lucas Mondelo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) came up with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerian power forward Evelyn Akhator (190-1995, college: Kentucky) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Aishin AW in the defeat. Four Aishin AW players scored in double figures. Sunshine R. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-4 record having just two points less than leader Toyota A., which they share with Denso I. Loser Aishin AW keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
