There was a small surprise in Tachikawa where seventh rankedDice (8-5) smashed 5th ranked Broncos (8-5) 105-85 on Saturday. Tachikawa made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while Saitama only scored six points from the stripe. Tachikawa had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown) who scored 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Rokas Gustys chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Trent Buttrick (206-1998, college: UMass) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward TJ Nesmith (206-2001, college: Radford) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Tachikawa and four Saitama players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tachikawa moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saitama.
