There was no surprise in Nagoya where 11th rankedFighting Eagles (6-11) were defeated by fifth ranked Thunders (11-6) 73-67 on Saturday. Gunma CT dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Fighting Eagles 's 30. Gunma CT had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Narito Namizato (172-1989) scored 12 points and 6 assists. Five FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. Fighting Eagles' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Thunders . Gunma CT moved-up to third place, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Ryukyu. Loser Fighting Eagles dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Yokohama BC and Chiba.
