Regular Season Round 15: FE Nagoya - Koshigaya A. 64-82

Everything could happen in Nagoya at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Alphas and 12th ranked Fighting Eagles had identical 5-9 record. But Fighting Eagles were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Tokyo 82-64 on Sunday night. It was an exceptional evening for Guinean-French Sekou Doumbouya (206-2000) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American Jarell Martin (208-1994, college: LSU) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Alphas players scored in double figures. American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier) came up with 9 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) added 9 points respectively for FE Nagoya in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. (6-9) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Fighting Eagles dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Koshigaya A. will meet at home league's leader Chiba Jets in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. FE Nagoya will play against Shiga L-Stars (#7) and hope to secure a win.
