Regular Season Round 15: Hokkaido L. - Shiga L-Stars 108-99

Rather predictable result when third ranked Sapporo (11-4) won against at home 6th ranked Lakestars (8-7) 108-99 on Sunday. Hokkaido L. shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Keisei Tominaga (188-2001, college: Nebraska) who led the winners and scored 25 points. American forward Kevin Jones (203-1989, college: WVU) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Thomas Wimbush (201-1993, college: Fairmont St., agency: Slash Sports) added 25 points respectively for Shiga L-Stars in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sapporo have a solid series of four victories in a row. Hokkaido L. maintains third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Nagasaki. Loser Lakestars dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Hokkaido L. will meet at home Saga B. (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Shiga L-Stars will play against FE Nagoya and hope to secure a win.
