Very predictable result in Saga where fourth ranked Lakestars (8-5) defeated 10th ranked Ballooners (5-8) 83-77 on Wednesday. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international forward Higen Hasegawa (202-2005) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. American power forward Tanner Groves (208-1999, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import David Dudzinski (205-1992, college: Holy Cross) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Shiga L-Stars and five Saga B. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shiga L-Stars maintains fourth place with 8-5 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Saga B. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Shiga L-Stars will meet higher ranked Hokkaido L. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saga B. will play against Osaka E.
