LeaderVelca delivered the eleventh victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Brave Thunders (2-10) 99-79 in Kanagawa. Nagasaki shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists and South Korean swingman Hyunjung Lee (201-2000, college: Davidson) who added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Velca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American forward Kevin Jones (203-1989, college: WVU) scored 13 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Velca (11-1) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Nagasaki maintains first position, which they share with Nagoya DD and Chiba Jets. Loser Brave Thunders dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost.
