There was no surprise in Yamaguchi where 11th rankedPats Five (3-9) was outplayed by ninth ranked Swoops (6-4) 92-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). New Zealand forward Daniel Fotu (203-1999, college: SMC) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Swoops players scored in double figures. American center Even Brauns (206-2002, college: Iowa, agency: Diamond Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gifu moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Tachikawa. Loser Pats Five dropped to the twelfth position with nine games lost.
