Very important is a home loss of second ranked Blowinds (6-3) against sixth ranked Excellence (3-5) on Saturday night. Host Blowinds were defeated by Excellence in Fukui 93-80. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Blowinds. Yokohama forced 21 Fukui B. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Elyjah Williams (201-1998, college: Northwestern) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Perry Ellis (203-1993, college: Kansas) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and forward Justin Burrell (204-1988, college: St.John's) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Fukui B.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama moved-up to fifth place. Fukui B. at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Fukuoka R. and Shinshu. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
