There was a minor upset in Yokkaichi where 11th rankedPats Five (2-7) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Veertien Mie (2-5) 87-75 on Saturday. American power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Latvian Matiss Kulackovskis (203-1997, college: BGSU) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Veertien Mie players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Even Brauns (206-2002, college: Iowa, agency: Diamond Sports) with 24 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import center Antavion Collum (206-2000, college: McNeese St.) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Pats Five's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Veertien Mie moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Pats Five dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost.
