Regular Season Round 9: Tokyo HT - Shinagawa 87-62

Date: October 24, 2025
There was no surprise in Tokyo where 15th ranked Shinagawa (1-9) was crushed by first ranked Hachioji Trains (8-2) 87-62 on Friday. Tokyo looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Shinagawa's players. Dutch-New Zealand Jonathan Janssen (205-1995, college: HPU) stepped up and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American swingman Donovan Clay (203-2001, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian Grantas Vasiliauskas (204-1999) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Victor Hart (203-2001, college: Southern Miss) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo maintains first place with 8-2 record. Shinagawa lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
