There was a surprise result in Ishikawa where fourteenth rankedEarthfriends (1-7) defeated higher ranked Samuraiz (4-6) 79-70 on Friday. American power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jordan Bruner (208-1997, college: Alabama, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward KJ Allen (198-2000, college: Portland St.) with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Dutch forward Jediael Cordilia (206-2002, college: Mt.St.Mary's) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Earthfriends maintains fourteenth place with 1-7 record. Loser Samuraiz keeps the tenth position with six games lost.
