Important game to mention about took place in Chiba. Top-ranked Jets (6-0) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 4th ranked Thunders (3-3) 80-79 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Thunders. Chiba Jets made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. American forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward DJ Hogg (203-1996, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 19 points and 5 assists. Four Jets players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Filipino-British power forward AJ Edu (208-2000, college: Toledo) did not help to save the game for Gunma CT. German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Jets have an impressive six-game winning streak. Chiba Jets maintains first position with 6-0 record. Gunma CT at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams. Chiba Jets will play against Gunma CT (#5) at home in the next round. Gunma CT will have a break next round.
