Regular Season Round 6: Akita NH - Ryukyu GK 69-100

Not a big story in a game in Akita where 13th ranked Happinets (1-5) were rolled over by eighth ranked Golden Kings (3-3) 100-69 on Saturday. Ryukyu made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Ryukyu outrebounded Akita NH 39-24 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ryukyu looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 assists. Five Golden Kings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Australian power forward Keanu Pinder (210-1995, college: Arizona) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and New Zealand-German center Yannick Wetzell (206-1996, college: SDSU) added 8 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 8 other teams. Akita NH lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Ryukyu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Akita NH will play against Ryukyu (#7) and hope to win that game.
