Regular Season Round 5: Shiga L-Stars - Ryukyu GK 92-86

Everything could happen in Shiga at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Lakestars and higher ranked Golden Kings had identical 2-2 record. This time Lakestars used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Okinawa 92-86 on Wednesday night. Shiga L-Stars made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American-German power forward Ryan Kriener (208-1998, college: Iowa, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Thomas Wimbush (201-1993, college: Fairmont St., agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and international center Alex Kirk (211-1991, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Ryukyu in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Golden Kings' coach let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shiga L-Stars (3-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with 7 other teams. Ryukyu at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Shiga L-Stars will meet at home Osaka E. (#7) in the next round. Ryukyu will play against Akita NH and hope to secure a win.
