Everything could happen in Yamaguchi at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth rankedAlbirex and 11th ranked Pats Five had identical 1-4 record. But Pats Five was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Niigata 80-56 on Sunday night. American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Albirex players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was German center Yasin Kolo (208-1992, college: Bellarmine) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American center Antavion Collum (206-2000, college: McNeese St.) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Niigata A. (2-4) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Kanazawa. Yamaguchi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost.
