There was a minor upset in Shiga where 5th rankedDragonflies (27-31) were defeated by eighth ranked Lakestars (8-49) 95-80 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies 's 28 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Hiroshima D. 42-25 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Lakestars players scored in double figures.
