Regular Season Round 56: FE Nagoya - Nagoya DD 61-75

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Nagoya: Dolphins (#4) and Fighting Eagles (#6). Fighting Eagles were defeated at home 61-75 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Nagoya DD outrebounded FE Nagoya 44-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Nagoya DD players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Luke Maye (203-1997, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import forward Zylan Cheatham (203-1995, college: Arizona St.) who added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. American forward Aaron Henry (198-1999, college: Michigan St., agency: Diamond Sports) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Jamaican-American power forward Femi Olujobi (206-1996, college: DePaul, agency: Slash Sports) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dolphins (33-23) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Nagoya DD maintains fourth position which they share with defeated FE Nagoya. FE Nagoya at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 29 games lost. They share the position with Akita NH. Nagoya DD will play against league's leader San-en NP in Hamamatsu in the next round and it may be the game of the week. FE Nagoya will play at home against Sea Horses M. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
